OceanXtreme is a school and safaris organization for the enjoyment of adventure water sports. We are specialized in Kitesurfing lessons and kitecamp in Auckland and trips around New Zealand’s North Island but we also customize adventure tours to satisfy any of our crazy customers.
We strive to provide the best service to the customer for the best value for money, and without ever compromising the safety or professionalism. Our mission is to get you enjoying kitesurfing to the max with the main theme being fun and have you saying “that was awesome I want to do it again”!

OceanXtreme is a kiwi owned family business run by Andrew Self.
Andrew is IKO qualified and has been the main instructor for 10 years. His ample knowledge about kitesurfing and his professionalism has made OceanXtreme one of the best kitesurfing schools in New Zealand.
Andrew has grown up on the kiwi coastline, experiencing water-sports from a young age like surfing, spear-fishing, diving and wakeboarding. Travelling the world, he then came across kitesurfing, got hooked and was one of the first to teach it in NZ.
When he is not teaching, Andrew loves challenging big waves while kitesurfing on the west coast.
Andrew’s wife, Manon, is OceanXtreme marketing and web guru as well as a part time instructor. She has been teaching kitesurfing for OceanXtreme since she arrived from France 4 years ago. She is a flat water kitesurfing addict!
The team also includes seasonal kitesurfing instructors who are always very experienced and friendly.
