In kitesurfing, all spots are not created equal and what may be a good spot for your friends who can already kitesurf may be very dangerous and unsuitable for you as a beginner.
We are lucky to have been allowed access to the best learning and most user-friendly spot in Auckland, if not all of New Zealand, on the South Banks of the Manukau harbour, only a 35 minutes drive south from central Auckland.

This private spot, for our use only, consist of a big playground of 8 square kilometres with water going from knee deep to chest deep, wide open to a huge wind range, providing us a clean, stable and steady wind! The Manukau harbour is also on average the windiest place in Auckland for kitesurfing, allowing us more days in the water!

Out there at our spot, there are:
NO other people, kiting, walking dogs, swimming, sun bathing...
NO dangerous obstacles like trees, roads, buildings, rocks, car parks, power lines...
NO surf or large waves...
NO dangerous currents, rips or deep water
NO nasty gusty winds created from land mass

We are running our 3 days kitecamp on this unbelievable site
